Perspectives – #WeAreAzureHills

Jason Sacdalan

Scripture Meditation:

“For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the Lord.” – Isaiah 55:8 NIV

“For now we see only a reflection as in a mirror; then we shall see face to face. Now I know in part; then I shall know fully, even as I am fully known.” – 1 Corinthians 13:12 NIV

Lord God,  Thank you for having the perspective that I do not.  Knowing this gives me peace and comfort.   Remind me that my brethren may be going through a situation that I don’t completely understand.  Help me to love by giving the benefit of the doubt.  Help me be open to different actions for different situations. Help me to genuinely ask why” so I may be sympathetic. Help me uplift those around me.  Give me patience and a realization that I too am fallible and need You daily.  I need you for strength, perseverance, comfort, peace and perspective.  Thank You Jesus.  AMEN

Reflection Question:

Reflect on a situation where you came to a judgement but later found out it was incorrect. How did you feel? Have you  experienced someone coming to a wrong conclusion regarding your actions?  How do you avoid coming to a wrong conclusion?

I will remind myself God knows the bigger picture for all of  our lives.  He knows the beginning and the end.  I will put my trust and faith in His direction in my life.   I will withhold judgement and think of other possible reasons for people’s actions. I will love people by listening to their perspective and validating them.  I uplift them as a child of God.
