Deut. 15: 11 – “For there will never cease to be poor in the land. Therefore, I command you, you shall open wide your hand to your brother, to the needy and to the poor in your land.”
Dear God, thank you for allowing us to partner with you in service to mankind. May we recognize our abundance and open wide our hands and hearts in service. Amen.
- Think of a time when you wanted to serve and have said “If I had more time I would….”
- What is it that you wanted to do?
- If you had more time today would you really do it?
- If you are unable to do it, what other act of service can you render today with the time you do have?
Service does not have to be costly. Let us start with a simple act of service today. Look at your phone’s contact list and call someone whom you have not spoken to in over 3 months. Leave him/her a brief message or text if you don’t get the chance to speak to them in person. Ask them to pass it on.
Post your picture with #service #azurehills for today and let us catch a glimpse of God’s presence in your everyday life.
