Space – #WeAreAzureHills

Pastor Tara VinCross

Scripture Meditation:

“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High, will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord He is my refuge and my fortress, my God in whom I trust.” Psalm 91:1-2

Prayer.

Dear God,

Help me to be still in your presence, in the space you have provided for me. Let me feel the security of your embrace, let me rest in your love. You are my refuge, Oh God. For all those who may be weary today, for all those of us who just need some space, would you give us the compassion and the courage to make distraction-free time to linger in your presence.

I love you. We love you.

In the name of Jesus, amen.

Reflection Question.

What is the biggest challenge you face to taking space with God? What keeps you from that space?

Action.

  • Take some space.
  • Set your phone and computer to “Do Not Disturb” and set an alarm for 10 minutes. Sit in the space God has given to you. Linger in God’s presence. Read Psalm 91:1-2. Perhaps you pick up your journal and write out a prayer in response. Perhaps you simply sit in silence before your Creator. Take some space to be with God.

Photo Challenge.

Post your picture with #space #azurehills for today and let us catch a glimpse of God’s presence in your everyday life.
