Stale Salt, Hidden Light, and Outdated Interpretations
We welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Maury Jackson! He serves as an Associate Dean at the HMS Richards Divinity School at La Sierra University, associate professor of Practical Theology, chair of the Pastoral Studies Department, and Coordinator of the Philosophical Studies program. He is an ordained Seventh-day Adventist pastor with nearly two decades of experience in pastoral leadership, serving congregations in the Southern California area. He holds degrees in philosophy, theology, and ministry from Claremont School of Theology, California State University, Los Angeles, Andrews University Theological Seminary, and La Sierra University. Together he and Nathan Brown coedited the book “A House on Fire: How Adventist Faith Responds to Race and Racism (Signs Publishing, 2022).” He is married to Marlene Jackson, and together they share five beloved children.
